Boston-based rockers to share the universal language of music

Utilizing the universal language of music, Boston-based inter- national recording artists Thirteen Yards to Victory will rock the Bert DeRose Theater at Amsterdam High School, with two school-community performances Wednesday, at 9:30 a.m. and

1 p.m. The group will return to the school on Thursday to take part in peer education sessions during regularly scheduled music classes.

The two shows at the school are closed to the public and are for students and invited guests only. However, radio station WCSS 1490-AM will be broadcasting the first concert live, in its entirety, from the high school, beginning at 9:30 a.m. The band

The American Dreamers tour is designed to highlight the power of community while illustrating 13 YTV’s commitment to raise revenue to support music and art education programs across America.

In a proclamation presented by Amsterdam Mayor Ann Thane to the Common Council Oct. 6, 13 YTV received an official endorsement and welcome to the city of Amsterdam.
