Saugus Sachems Congratulate Fellow American Dreamers At Hard Rock VIP Party.

Saugus – Local, national and international VIP’s turned out for the jam-packed Thirteen Yards to Victory American Dreamers EP and Video release party at the Hard Rock Café in Boston Sunday night.
The VIPs included: Diamond, multi-platinum, multi-Grammy award winner Ken Lewis (Usher, Fall Out Boy, Kanye West, Mariah Carey…); Jared Hancock, CEO of the Sure Fire Music Group; International music remixer DJ Joe Bermudez; and R&B music producer Lawrence “Woo” Wedgeworth.
Also attending were: Dance music recording artist Sonia; Comedy Central’s now defunct Crank Yankers comedian Chuck Mignanelli; Mix 104.1 music director Mike Mullaney; WXLO Operations Manager Jerry McKenna; JamSpot CEO John Mazzone and his Andrew, Holland and Knight partner Jeff Cleven; Blouin & Company CEO David Blouin; New York Fashion Photographer James Pickett; Counsel General of Italy Liberio Stellino and his family.
On hand for the celebration were US Congressman John Tierney; Chairman of the Massachusetts House Committee on Performing Arts State Representative Mark Falzone; J.J. Pace & Sons honcho Joe Pace; Club Café restaurateur Frank Ribaudo and his partner performance artist Joe Posa; Boston Cares representatives Rachel Ratner and Allie Hunter; and the Saugus Sachems Little League Cooperstown Dream Team.
Among the honors bestowed upon the Saugus rock group were accolades from Senator Edward Kennedy two weeks before he died, a Congressional Record Statement given my Sen. John Kerry, a letter from US Congressman John Tierney and a proclamation by Boston Mayor Thomas Menino declaring last Sunday “Thirteen Yards to Victory Answering the Call to Public Service Day in Boston.”
Two weeks before Kennedy died, he wrote in a press release, “I commend the members of Thirteen Yards to Victory for responding so well to President Obama’s call to encourage young men and women to become involved in community service.” He added, “The ‘I’m an American Dreamer’ project demonstrates the band’s strong commitment to help America meet its most pressing challenges by putting their talents to work for communities across the country.”
Thirteen Yards to Victory headed Sunday night to Kowloon in Saugus for an even more intimate after party hosted by proprietor’s Andy and Bobby Wong.
On Tuesday, 13 YTV released an EP titled American Dreamers, distributed by Tunecore, with 100 percent of the profit generated from this exclusive digital download release benefiting arts and music education programs across America.
Inspired by President Barack Obama’s “United We Serve” campaign and The Edward M. Kennedy Serve America Act, the band’s project is designed to tap into the diversity that is America while providing a measurable financial impact on music and education programs across the United States, the District of Columbia and the U.S. territories.
The band formally invites everyone everywhere to declare his or herself an “American Dreamer” as part of the band’s I’m an American Dreamer campaign and contest.
